DiskSpace Version 0.42 Copyright 1991, Bob Hayes.
DiskSpace for Windows (DSW) is a utility that will show how much free space
is available on your hard disk(s). I did not like to have to open File
Manager, have it read all the directories, just to see how much space was free
on my disks.
DiskSpace displays the number of bytes free and graphically shows the percent
of the disk's space allocated. DiskSpace will work with up to 10 logical
local drives, and with any size drive. DiskSpace updates every second, and
redraws the bars only if the amount of free space changed. The line on the
DiskSpace icon do not show the current disk space, they are static.
Windows writes a lot of things to your disks when it is running, swap files,
print jobs, etc., so it is useful to monitor how much space is available.
DiskSpace was written with Borland's Turbo Pascal for Windows. I recommend
it for anyone wanting to write programs for Microsoft Windows.
This version of DiskSpace is being distributed as Shareware. You may try
this program, and if you like it, or find it useful, and wish to continue
using it, you are expected to register with the author. You are free (and
encouraged) to copy this program and distribute it to anyone, as long as
no fee, beyond disk duplicating and handling, is charged for the program,
and as long as this documentation file accompanies the program. You decide what
this program is worth, the requested registration fee is $5, but if you feel it
is only worth $1, send that and I will register you. To register, send
your name, address, the program name and version, where you got the program,
and $1 to $5 to:
Bob Hayes
10104 Blue Tee Terr.
Gaithersburg, MD 20879
All registered users will receive the next version when it is availible.
I would be interested in your comments and suggestions, even if you don't
register. I would also be interested to see where the program goes in the
world of BBSs. I uploaded the program to a few BBSs in the Washington, DC
area. If you would like to write me, please tell me the name and version of
the program, where you got it, and anything else.
DISCLAIMER
This program is being distributed as is. There are no warranties expressed
